Stephen Buehler - Founder
Prior to moving to Nashville from New York City, Stephen was a Managing Director with Blackstone, the largest alternative asset manager in the world. At Blackstone, Stephen was the Chief Operating Officer of the Individual Investor Solutions business, a strategic initiative that he helped launch and grow to over $9 billion in assets under management. Stephen has also worked at Merrill Lynch in New York City and at KPMG in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was a Senior Manager and worked with some of the leading businesses across the Southeast. Stephen is a native of Starkville, Mississippi and is married to Jennifer Stieber Buehler.

Ed Lalanne - Chief Investment Officer (CIO)
Ed Lalanne serves as CIO of Astra Ventures, with emphasis on the firm's public markets trading strategies. Prior to joining Astra Ventures, Ed was an investment analyst at Tse Capital, a global macro hedge fund with $1 billion in assets under management. Ed has also worked in various investment strategist roles at Bloomberg LP, Macro Risk Advisors, Lehman Brothers, and several other hedge funds. Ed lives in New York City with his wife Natasha and daughter Julie, and enjoys weekend sailing with his family in Southport, CT.
